Bucktown Stairway 16x20 acrylic on canvas.
I haven’t posted here in quite some time not because of painting issues but because of computer issues. Hopefully this is all straightened out and I will be posting every day for the next few months.

Days End. 9x12 acrylic on canvas.
Days End. 9x12 acrylic on canvas. The patterns of blue, black and gold really struck me as a pleasing combination. I believe it all comes down to staying awake to the possibilities.

In the Garden. 11x14 acrylic on canvas.
This is Kate. A wonderful playwright and model. I painted her on a Sunday in the Botanical Gardens in Rock Island.

River Walk. 8x10 acrylic on canvas.
Posting late this evening. This was from a walk along the bikepath by the river a few weeks ago. Loved the interplay of light on the water.

Meeting House. 11x14 acrylic on canvas.
Painted this earlier this year in South Carolina. No matter where you are, subjects are everywhere, but you must be open to finding them.

Jill 2. 16x20 acrylic on canvas.
Another portrait of Jill. She is one of my favorite models. I painted this with the hopes that it would be selected in this years Annual Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic show in New York.

Downtown Church. 12x14 acrylic on canvas.
I have a lot of catching up to do. It's been almost a year since I ladt posted here! Many apologies! I will be posting every day now for the next several months to get up back up to date. Much of the problem was computer issues and downright busyness! Looking forward to getting back to blogging on a daily basis!
This painting is a street in downtown Rock Island, Illinois. I love church steeples!

Cathedral Light. 18x24 acrylic on canvas
Another in the 'Abstract Realism' series. I was in South Carolina over Christmas. I took a photo of these trees that were full of color. It reminded me of a stained glass window.

Northwest Creek. 8x10 acrylic on canvas.
I stood on a small footbridge at a family reunion in northwest Iowa and looked out on this quiet stream. It was very peaceful!

Charleston Horse. 16x20 acrylic on canvas.
When in Charleston SC a while back, I stopped in front of this horse standing in the street, ready for more passengers for his carriage.
