Wooded Path 11x14 Acrylic

SOLD

Half mile or so from my home, there's a footbridge that crosses an arm of the Mississippi River onto an island that once held many factories during WWII. All that is left of these buildings are a few foundations covered by undergrowth. Many paths like this one wind around the narrow island.

This inspires me to paint those wonderful trails on Monhegan Island. Beautiful.

Figures I'd decide to comment on the same painting as one of my best girlfriends! BUT.. this is a beautiful painting. I love, love, love the way your eye gets to take a walk through the dappled light. Wonderful.

Mary & Kelley,
It's an honor to have two best friends comments, (especially ones who paint as well as the both of you). Thank you so much for your kind words.

Hi, Ryan Flynn here, Laurel Pincus's son. Very, very nice work. This one reminds me of Duck Creek Park and the paths there that I grew up on. This Painting a Day concept is really catching on. I'm going to forward an interesting email I just received to you. See you, and keep it up.
