My Mother

February 01 1918 - February 12 2008

What a remarkable lady. Love of God, gentleness, unselfishness, strength of character are not just words that described her traits. They are words which descibed her. Through times of great joy and times of great sorrow, she didn't tell you how to live, she showed you how to live. I am so blessed that she was and will always be my mother.

Brad, It's with a tear in my eye that I'm conveying my condolences to you. Your portrait of her shows her dignity and grace- you were lucky to have her as your mother and clearly, she was lucky to have you as a loving son.
What a beautiful and tender tribute to a very elegant lady.
Did she get to see that painting?

To stay in the moment and stray not is keeping the love in the now and look to the future bringing with it all that you have shared.

I just saw this for the first time - I'm so sorry for your loss. You will never really stop missing her, but those wonderful things your said about her will always be with you. Be gentle with yourself. There's no timetable for grief. You are a terrific painter, too, by the way! She must have been so proud of you!
